Is A Zoombot Robotic Smart Vacuum Worth The Money?
It seems that the busy lifestyles of people these days leaves you very little time at home to concentrate on the upkeep of your house. More and more people today are investing in programmable robotic vacuums to help ease the stress of housekeeping while keeping a spic and span floor while they are busy out of the house. Most of these robots retail for around $250. Seems pretty pricey, doesn’t it? When it was discovered that there was a robotic vacuum out there for as little as $99, we were intrigued and wanted to know more. We found the Zoombot Robotic Smart Vacuum.
Made by a parent company of Black and Decker, the Zoombot is the most affordable robotic vacuum available on the market today and can be found at your local Target or Wal-Mart stores. What reviewers have said is that unfortunately, you get what you pay for. Yes, the Zoombot does pick up quite a bit of dirt, but it lacks a deep suction, making it virtually impossible to suck up the deeply imbedded dirt and hair in the carpet. It does work very well on hard floor surfaces such as linoleum, hardwood and tile, however, so if you are just looking to ease up on your sweeping time for your hard floors, you should definitely invest in the Zoombot.
What some consumers have found is that, although the Zoombot Robotic Smart Vacuum is larger in size than the standard robotic vacuum, the dirt compartment size is much smaller than the average, making it easier to get jammed and making you have to empty it much more often than you’d like, especially if you have an extra dirty floor. The Zoombot also does not have the built-in side brushes to help keep the edges and corners of the room free of dirt and dust. They do have to attachable brushes that you can put on yourself if desired, but they are of cheap quality and do not work well in those tough to reach areas like in corners. If you turn the Zoombot over on it’s “back” and look into the “belly” you will not find much there in the way of brushes or cleaning bars as you would find in more expensive robotic vacuums. The moral of this story is if you are in the market to keep your hard floors clean, spend the $99 and invest in a Zoombot. If you are looking for a robotic vacuum that truly cleans even the dirtiest of carpets, save your money and invest in a better quality vacuum.
